The Rotating Scholarship
2004 - The Joseph F. Ochoa
Scholarship for Public Service

This year, the Rotating Scholarship honors Sergeant Joe Ochoa, a "cop's cop" who passed away in November of 2003 after giving more than 25 years of outstanding service to Menlo Park. The Ochoa Scholarship will be awarded to a local high school student who wishes to pursue a career in public service or who has demonstrated interest in public service as a volunteer.


Res. Lt. Bob Wood

2003 - The Robert E. Wood
Scholarship for Public Service

Reserve Lt. Robert Wood was a local resident who spent 28 years serving with Menlo Park Police as a 'volunteer'. His entire career was in public service, on and off-duty. The Wood Scholarship was awarded to M-A High School student Natalie Calta for her demonstrated desire to pursue a career in Public Service. Plaque presented to Bob Wood in 2003
